General Invoice Management and Payment
The invoicing and payment system on the Freelance Clinician platform is safe, easy and fast!
Once the medical professional completes and submits an invoice, the healthcare facility (HCF) representative is alerted that the invoice is ready for verification and payment. The HCF representative can then review the invoice for accuracy and alert the medical professional if any errors are found. If there are errors, they can easily be corrected by the medical professional, and the invoice is re-submitted. Once the invoice has been verified as accurate, the HCF representative then clicks the “Pay Now” button on the invoice. The HCF representative will then be taken to the Dwolla website where they will sign in.
Once signed into their Dwolla account, the HCF representative will be presented with a check-out screen that will display the invoice amount and the medical professional's name to whom the payment is going to be made. The HCF representative can choose where the payment will come from (the bank account linked to their Dwolla account or their Dwolla account itself) and then enter their PIN to complete the transaction. Freelance Clinician always pays the $5 (maximum) invoice processing fee.
The funds are then instantly transferred to the medical professional’s Dwolla account*, which can be set to have the funds go directly to their bank account. The medical professional’s small 5.99% service fee to Freelance Clinician is paid when the funds are transferred, and the fee is noted on the invoice and in the parties’ Dwolla account statements.
Supervisor Signature on the Invoice
If the healthcare facility requires the medical professional’s on-site supervisor or manager to verify and sign the invoice, this can easily be accomplished.
Both the healthcare facility and the medical professional can print the invoice (by clicking the “Print Invoice” button) and present it to the appropriate person for verification and signature. Once an invoice has been paid, it can also be easily printed.
*If HCF's account is funded. If it is not, funds are transferred in 1-2 business days.
